A desktop buddy application was branded and tailored for Five to deliver time-sensitive news, alerts and match updates to users.

A 3-dimensional Geoff Boycott delivers some of the information personally through the buddy; users are able to listen to Geoff and get his take on events.

The animated Geoff delivers his commentary using our voice editor software which enables avatars to lip-synch and animate from voice files and makes it easy for Five to update and create new content. Audio recordings are made by the outspoken commentator and former international himself.

Once downloaded, the application stays on the desktop and pushes the latest scores and commentary from Five. Settings are customisable, so users can choose the information they want to receive.

A content management system makes the service flexible; editors can manage and schedule news and alerts. The plug-in functionality of the desktop buddy allows for betting and other commercial ventures.
